On any given day in Cincinnati our agency partners house approximately 90 families with children in four emergency shelters. It has become abundantly clear that it is not an option to deal with COVID-19 after it has landed in our family homeless shelters, as residents in the shelters are in very close quarters and can’t maintain social distancing.
By the time the first positive diagnosis is given to a child or parent, dozens of other children, parents, and agency staff will have already been exposed.
The only responsible way to protect our children and parents experiencing homelessness and to prepare for the virus is to proactively empty the congregate facilities and find more suitable places to shelter in place. And to do so, we need your help. Your donation today will support our partner agencies Bethany House Services, Interfaith Hospitality Network of Greater Cincinnati, The Salvation Army, and the YWCA of Greater Cincinnati.
Thank you for your support of our families and our shared mission to end homelessness in Cincinnati.
