Taking Care: Resilience for Professionals
In this session participants will grow in their understanding of nourishing their own resilience. Together we will engage in activities that integrate the mind and the body. The experiential nature of the session will invite introspection as well as connection with others as a way to foster nourishment and well-being.

Objectives:
Participants will learn about 5 Resilience Factors.
Participants will understand how to build 5 Resilience Factors for themselves.
Participants will understand how to Regulate, Relate and Reason as a way of caring for self.

The Embodied Practitioner
Trauma is stored in the body. Healing begins when we are able to access awareness that leads to regulation. This session will support participants in tuning into the felt sense and exploring practical ways to center regulation as an action step in their own self-care practice.

Objectives:
Participants will engage in interactive exercises that integrate the mind and body. Participants will learn ways to return to a state of balance and calm to reach states of regulation.

The activities will be led by:
Sarah Buffie MSW, LSW, founding director of Soul Bird Consulting believes that nothing has the power to heal like supportive relationships. Specializing in trauma responsive care, she helps organizations and individuals disrupt current models of thinking by building empathy and understanding around the effects of trauma.
