Description/Special Instructions: This training program is designed for case managers and supervisors engaged in assisting individuals experiencing homelessness, aiming to enhance their understanding of Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) and Medicaid requirements. The focus is on empowering participants with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively support clients on their journey towards stability. Managed Care Organizations play a pivotal role in the healthcare landscape, particularly for individuals facing homelessness. The training will delve into the fundamental concepts of MCOs, describing their functions, structures, and the diverse services they offer. Participants will gain insights into how MCOs can collaborate with service providers. Participants will be equipped with practical tools and best practices to advocate for their clients within the framework of Managed Care Organizations. The training will also cover effective communication strategies with MCOs and how to leverage available resources to optimize client outcomes.
