Presented by Melanie Palmer, IMFT-S, Training Officer Child Focus The training includes techniques to give child-care providers the information they need to not only identify and understand child maltreatment, but to engage families regarding access to parent education, social connections, and concrete supports in their communities. Questions for discussion, ways to take action, and suggestions are all part of this experience. This curriculum has been designed to meet the training requirement for child abuse and neglect recognition and prevention as outlined in the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services Licensing Rules with the addition of the language of the Strengthening Families Initiative
