This course will provide a comprehensive fair housing training for staff at social service providers or nonprofits that regularly work with clients or community members around housing issues. The course will provide an overview of local, state, and federal fair housing laws, including protections against discrimination for protected classes and recent cases. Participants will learn about fair housing protections, reasonable accommodations and modifications for people with disabilities, and how to assist clients with reporting illegal housing discrimination.
This training will only be offered virtually through Microsoft Teams. A link to the training will be sent via email a week beforehand. Two CEUs through the Ohio Social Work Board will be offered if the entire training is attended.
