Description/Special Instructions: This training offers a comprehensive look at Fair Housing laws related to assistance animals, covering the history, protected classes, prohibited conduct, and key disability rights provisions. Participants will gain a clear understanding of relevant laws and terms, including the distinction between pets and assistance animals as well as service animals vs. support animals. The session will also highlight the importance of advocacy for individuals with assistance animals and provide practical strategies for housing professionals. Additional resources will be shared, followed by a Q&A session.
